Tryouts / Membership Requirements

Tryouts

VJCL participates in the University of Virginia School of Law’s Unified Journal Tryout Process. This year’s tryouts were held February 26-29, and March 4-7, 2016.

Journal membership invitations were extended by all journals on Friday, March 25, 2016. Membership will be finalized on Monday, April 4, 2016.

Membership Requirements

VJCL requires all members to be in good standing at the University of Virginia School of Law. Members should exhibit an interest in criminal law and must be committed to actively participating in journal activities throughout law school. Required activities include participation in two cite checks each year (Fall and Spring), assistance with symposiums, and attendance at annual training sessions. While we encourage the submission of student notes, VJCL does not have a formal student note requirement.
